Things to take note
- Clothing choices play a big role in how your photos turn out, so do take some time to plan your outfits. Choose a colour palette that compliments one another, and if your family members are joining, it's best for everyone to be colour coordinated.
- Do bring essential items your baby may need throughout the shoot, such as milk, water, diapers, wipes, extra clothing, pacifiers, or any comfort items to keep them settled and comfortable during the session.
- The session includes simple wraps for newborns up to 3 months old. Basic props such as toys, plushies, mats, and blankets are also provided. If you would like to include sentimental items or personal props in the session, you are welcome to bring them along for the session.
- The session theme and styling will be planned prior to the session to better understand your vision and ensure the overall setup matches your preferences and desired outcome.
FAQ
Are there additional charges I should be aware of?
A few may apply depending on your session needs.
- Sundays & Public Holidays: $80 surcharge
- Additional hours: $140 per hour (subject to availability)
- Additional pax: $20/ person
Are there any travel charges for home and outdoor shoots?
For standard locations across mainland Singapore, there are no additional travel fees. A flat rate of $100 applies for locations that are less accessible (e.g. not reachable by transport, require long walking distances, or areas like Sentosa).
Where will the studio session be held?
The studio session will be held at Studio by Joie. 318 Tanglin Road, Phoenix Park.
The location is accessible by both bus and car, with parking slots available on site. The studio is also wheelchair accessible.
What is your turnaround time for photos?
Our turnaround time is 3–4 weeks. This allows us to carefully select and edit each image, ensuring consistent quality throughout your gallery.
If you need your photos sooner, a rush option is available at $100 for a 5 days turnaround after shoot date.
Do I only get a XX amount of images? What happens to the rest of the photos?
Every session goes through a careful culling and editing process. This means we select the strongest images and remove those that do not meet our delivery standards, such as blurred shots, closed eyes, test shots, duplicates, or otherwise unflattering images.
The number of images delivered varies depending on the session type, the flow of the session, and factors such as your baby's or child's comfort and cooperation. The estimated number of images included will always be stated in the package details.
Our focus is always on quality over quantity. Every delivered image is thoughtfully selected and professionally edited to ensure you receive the very best moments from your session.
Rest assured that we aim to return all good images captured during your session, including candid moments. Once your gallery is ready, you can choose the images that resonate most with you.
If your package includes a maximum number of delivered images and there are additional photographs that still meet our delivery standards, you may request to purchase extra images. We will first provide a proof gallery of the available images for your selection. Once you have made your choices, the additional images will be edited and uploaded to your gallery within 1–2 weeks.
For example, if your package includes 50 edited images and you would like to purchase 10 additional images, you may select 10 images from the proof gallery. These 10 images will then be edited and delivered, bringing your total gallery to 60 edited images.
Do you provide Raw files?
We don’t provide RAW files as they are unprocessed and don’t reflect our final quality and style. We deliver all the best edited images from your session, including candid in between moments. Once your gallery is ready, you can take your time to go through it and choose the photos that resonate most with you.
how do I book my session?
To secure and prioritise your session slot, a 50% retainer is required upon booking. The remaining balance can be paid anytime up to 3 weeks before your session date.
For last minute bookings made less than 1 month before the session, full payment will be required to confirm your booking.
If my child or I am unwell, can we reschedule the session?
Yes, rescheduling is allowed if the parents or child are unwell. Kindly inform us at least 48 hours prior to the session. Rescheduling to Sundays or Public Holidays will require an additional fee of $80.
Can I choose which photos go into the 4R prints and album?
Yes, you’ll be given 48 hours to select your preferred images before your gallery is finalised and delivered. Print and album timelines will begin once your selections are submitted. To avoid delays, please send in your choices within the given timeframe.
